Skansen, located on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm, is the world’s oldest open-air museum and one of the city’s most popular attractions. Established in 1891 by Artur Hazelius, Skansen was created to showcase and preserve Swedish traditions, culture, and rural life. The museum covers more than 75 acres and offers visitors a glimpse into Swedish history with over 150 historic buildings relocated from various parts of the country.
