Deoksugung Palace – Where Tradition Meets Modern Seoul
Deoksugung Palace, located at the edge of Seoul’s bustling City Hall, is one of Korea’s Five Grand Palaces and a striking symbol of resilience and change. Originally built in the 15th century, it became a royal residence after the Japanese invasions in the late 16th century, serving as the main palace for King Gwanghaegun and later Emperor Gojong.
