Robert F. Kennedy Bridge – New York
Robert F. Kennedy Bridge – Connecting the Boroughs of New York
Formerly known as the Triborough Bridge, the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge is a vital and iconic link between three of New York City’s boroughs: Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. Completed in 1936 and renamed in honor of Senator Robert F. Kennedy in 2008, this complex system of three bridges and multiple viaducts spans the Harlem River, the Bronx Kill, and the East River—an impressive feat of urban engineering and design.
Designed by Othmar Ammann, the same mind behind other NYC bridges like the George Washington and Verrazzano-Narrows, the RFK Bridge showcases a blend of functionality and grandeur, offering sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, Randall’s Island, and the waterways of New York Harbor.
It’s not just a commuter route—whether you’re cycling or walking the pedestrian paths, the bridge provides unexpected and striking cityscapes, especially at sunrise or dusk, when the steel structures and skyline glow with color.
Our Tiny Planet artwork of the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge captures its architectural power and urban connectivity in a stunning 360-degree perspective. Whether printed on canvas, puzzles, or other formats, this unique piece transforms one of NYC’s great connectors into a mesmerizing circular masterpiece—bringing the energy of the city into your home!
